Hattiesburg Pocket Museum

Hattiesburg, MS

During Covid, Hattiesburg's historic Saenger Theatre closed down. Searching for a way to continue their work and help people escape isolation, the theatre's employees spent $800 turning an old window into a whimsical "pocket museum", featuring miniature displays. The exhibit was far more popular than they expected, and it has since grown to encompass the entire alley. It has even received national attention and turned into a tourism driver for the city. It's easy to find, free, and unlike anything you've seen before.
