Historic Fountain with…Blue Water?
Fort Payne, AL
Built to grace the approach to one of Alabama's more majestic hotels, the DeKalb, during Fort Payne's mining rush (1889). The hotel burned in 1918, but the fountain remains. These days, it sits in the city park and quietly flows with blue water.
