Relocated, Scenic Covered Bridge (1861)

Livingston, AL

Built during the Civil War, the scenic Alamuchee-Bellamy Bridge (1861) was rescued by the local historical society and relocated to the duck pond on the University of West Alabama's campus. One of Alabama's more notorious criminals, Stephen Renfroe, was hung by this bridge when it crossed the nearby Sucarnoochee River.
